Booked: This Time

Working on new plays is so interesting, because it is uncharted territory. But before I discuss my thoughts about this piece, I wanted to announce that I am thrilled to be part of the world premiere cast of This Time by Sevan K. Greene, directed by Kareem Fahmy! Runs May 7 to May 21 at The Sheen Center.

Recent Video!

Here are the two clips from NBC's American Odyssey (Feisty Reporter) and MTV's One Bad Choice (Life-saving ER Nurse). Enjoy!

Booked: Odyssey

2015 began with a booking on the new NBC and BBC show, Odyssey. The show is scheduled to debut this Spring and is slated for a 13-episode run. Performing in an exterior during wintertime in NYC has never been more fun for me! Thank you to the marvelous Jake Robinson for welcoming me to set and Lauren Port at Caparelliotis Casting!

Booked: Monsoon Wedding 29h Reading

I was honored to be a part of the first Industry Reading of Mira Nair, Sabrina Dhawan, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Susan Birkenhead's new musical adaptation of the beloved film, Monsoon Wedding. We sang and read for desis and non-desis alike; it was electrifying! But most of all, I am very happy to have made wonderful new friends and creative partners. Special thanks to casting – Cindy Tolan, Adam Caldwell, Rachel Stoeckly – and my wonderful manager, Annette E. Alvarez. Here's to 2014!

Booked: The Mysteries of Laura

I just shot an episode for The Mysteries of Laura and had the great fortune of working with the incredible Debra Messing and Max Jenkins, along with an extraordinary crew. Look for it before Thanksgiving – airing Wednesday, November 19!

Booked: Titus X

Booked: Titus X

A dream Shakespearean role in a musical!

The Treehouse Theater in Manhattan is performing every piece in the "Playing with Canons" anthology over the next few months, and I had a fabulous time last Thursday reconnecting with old friends and making new ones with Titus X - a punk musical based on Titus Andronicus. My favorite moments: singing the role of Lavinia with the incredible Cesar Guadamuz as my Bassanius and of course, being accompanied by none-other-than Shawn Northrip himself. A fun, fast and furious day and night was had by all!

Booked: ANERA Annual Dinner

Last Friday, I participated in a reading for ANERA's annual dinner, reading stories of women who have benefited directly from ANERA's work. It was an incredible reminder that I love to tell stories - real stories of struggle, real stories of hope. Since 1968, ANERA has been improving lives in the Middle East and now is focused on providing aid and humanitarian relief for Palestinian families and poor communities in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.

Booked: OSN Commercial

Here is the commercial I shot for OSN! The VO basically talks about how the "hero woman" (the amazing Sharone Sayegh) is upset that she has to listen to me go on and on about my new furniture / decor instead of watching our favorite program. Because I have OSN, I can just watch it later! Enjoy!

Talent: Aizzah Fatimah, Marjan Neshat, Sharone Sayegh, Salma Shaw.
